Central Point, Oregon

Sister Knight

this week will be my last transfer

Hey Y'all!!
This week was interesting. So there are like a ton of fires around right now and one of them actually ended up being pretty close to our house. All I have to say is I'm so thankful we have prophets who teach us about emergency preparedness. Some people had to get evacuated, but no houses were damaged and it was just a miracle. So the air has been really smokey. People think we are crazy for being out in it. We did get some masks to wear around that some guy gave us. Luckily people have been super nice to us. They are always offering us water bottles and to cool down so thats been awesome.
This week was zone conference and we had to do a presentation on family history in relation to missionary work. It was really cool to be able to do all the research and apply it. It's crazy how many people are so willing to talk about family history. I wish I would have applied it more at the beginning of my mission. I learned so much about it and I'm grateful we had that topic. We studied Elder Renlund's talk from this past conference about family history. I would highly recommend. It was SO good.
We haven't really been working with anyone. We have just done a lot of tracing. Which I am okay with. This area has really made me see the importance of noticing the small miracles. Like people giving us water, nice conversations we have with them, or someone accepting a Book of Mormon. I love Central Point and transfer calls are this weekend, and I have no clue what is going to happen. I could stay or go. So we will see. I hope you all have a good week and I love ya lots!!! ☀️🔥
