Well, last night we were having a little bbq in the house waiting for our transfers, and the phone started ringing. I thought it would be the zone leaders giving us our transfers and I looked down at the phone and it said President Hansen and honestly, my stomach sunk to my stomach. So I answered and he asked me if I would accept the roll of being zone leader. I told him, “of course.” So I am going to be a zone leader starting tomorrow! I will be staying in Cochabamba but I will be the zone leader of Jaihuayco, Alalay with Elder Feddock. He is a gringo as well and there are like 24 or so missionaries in the zone! I feel really privileged to get this calling! I will be honest, I am very nervous but I am excited at the same time. We have a meeting with all of the zone leaders in the mission this Friday, so it should be a good experience.
Elder Stoker will stay here in Chimba and he is going to be with an Elder from Colombia. I had an amazing time with him here in Chimba. He will do amazing things in this mission. He was a great example for me.
You know when I was leaving Quiriza, man; I was super sad because those people have my heart and are truly incredible people. Then here I am, at the point to leave this ward and it is the same feelings all over again!
I am going to miss this ward so much. They are so amazing and I honestly feel like home in this ward and it is so, so, so hard to leave. We have at least 7 investigators that are going to be get baptized here in Chimba in November and that makes me sad.
But I know the Lord has prepared me to help someone in this next area and he has prepared these people to help me more than I will help them! I am so excited to meet all these new wonderful people that will touch my heart and change my life for the better!
I love this gospel. I love the mission, there is truly nothing better!!! I know this gospel is true with all my heart! My testimony grows more every day!
But this week we had a great week. We just were teaching our investigators and they are all preparing very well and are all attending church. I have never been so happy! I went to the temple this week with Juana Aguilar for her first time and her smile was amazing. Listening to her try to explain the feelings she had just can’t keep you from tearing up!!
Well, that was it for this week! And I can’t wait for all the new ones up a head of me!!!!
