Jackson, Georgia

Sister Carter

transfers....Guess what?!

Hey yall this week has been pretty exciting! This week i got rid of Sister Gray (jk i still love her) but I got a brand new missionary! I am training Sister Carter! Also fun fact that Sis Carter and I were in the same ward at BYU during fall semester, such a small world!Okay anyways this week has been great and I realized that being a trainer is super cool and one of my favorite things. We have already seen so many miracles and had a great time and it has only been 6 days! Jackson area is still doing so good and the work is progressing here! Lately I have realized we have been finding and teaching people who are struggling alot whether it be with drinking, smoking or depression and they don't know where to go for help. It had been eye opening to see how the gospel really could help people improve the quality of their lives as they draw closer to Christ. We are hoping to see all of these people rely on Christ and His great love for them. Also this week the branch has had 2 parties in which us missionaries helped set up and make banners for haha. One was for an 85 year old lady and we threw a surprise birthday party and the other one was a welcome to the branch/welcome baby for a family that just moved in! It was so fun but something that we keep talking about is how this Jackson branch is like a big family and everyone just loves and helps each other which makes being a missionary way awesome because we are well taken care of and the members are so anxious to see success.I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY! and sharing the gospel!!! Yall God is good, all the time!
Quick recap: mini photo shoot with Sister Gray and haley, set up for the party, sent Sis Gray away and had our last meal together at IHop, saw my cousin at transfers!!, got Sister Carter as my comp, broke her into ride bikes on our first day, had a Zaxby's miracle with free cookies, attended a suprise party for an 85 yo sweet heart and it was a hoot 'n' a half with a live blue grass band and everything, found out I was allergic to cats and my eyes puffed up so big, lots of selfies during comp study, I hit 5 months of being a missionary and i can't believe it has been that long wearing this cool tag, lots of knocking on doors, and my first time having steak'n'shake! Love yall and have a great week!
Love, Sister Mix!
