Hi friends!!The weeks just fly by!! Here are some highs from the last few weeks!HIGHS- Two of my new friends here sent me little gifts in the mail. In return I had to of course send a little gift back, so I sent a Book of Mormon!- We got sushi!! And I liked it!!! This is a big deal because I didn't like sushi growing up.- Since we have been out a lot lately we have become friends with the workers at Lush, McDonald's, the souvenir shop, and the post office, so we have given out a lot of pass along cards with Jesus on it.- It has been snowing again and the snow makes everything feel magical!
So this week we had zone conference and it was so good. My companions and I taught about faith. To grow your faith it is important to do the little things of course like saying prayers and studying the scriptures. But it is especially important not just to go through the motions of these things. Specific prayers brings specific blessings. Pray for people by name and individual circumstances. Read the scriptures not just to read, but with questions in mind which will allow the spirit to teach you. Another important aspect of faith is to "Go and do". We will not be shown the exact steps to take, but we know what is good and righteous so as we do those things, our faith will increase.
I just have a testimony that having faith in Jesus Christ and in His Atonement will change your life. Here is a quote from last general conference."As we come unto Him, "we can be filled with joy, peace, and consolation. All that is [hard and challenging] about life can be made right through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.” He has counseled us, “Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not” (Doctrine and Covenants 6:36).
I love you all so much. I really want to hear you! So I have a question of the week so everyone should reply back answering this fun question.
Do you like sushi? If so what kind is your favorite?
Anyways, do good and be good!🌟Sestra King
