Hey guys!
So I'm in Burlington (new mailing address is P.O. Box 7, Burlington, WY 82411). My actual address is: 115 E Poplar Ave., Burlington ,WY 82411. If you want to google maps it or something. It isn't hard to find. It is the biggest house here. It is pretty nice. It is three stories and they have a tennis court, hammock, tree house, and a garden. We are obvious living with members. Haha. They are the Gormley's. They are super nice people. They are an older couple and they always have there grandkids over. The house its self is probably a little bit bigger than ours.
Yes, we have a car. Actually, it's a truck. We are the only ones who have a truck in Wyoming West. The church is cross a field from our house. And, we cover three wards/towns: Emblem , Otto, and Burlington. The Otto area and Emblem are very spread apart and have a very low population. On the sign for Otto it say population of ten .. Haha. I think there is a few more than that but not much. You should really look at my area on google maps or something. Haha. In Burlington, you can walk cross whole town in about ten in minutes. Haha. It is fun though.
The last week has been very crazy. I got here Wednesday night. Everything is very different here. Probably 90% of the population here is members and they are so nice!!!! A lot of them have the same names. Tricky tricky. It can be difficult to go tracting, especially since it is so small and we are required to go tracting for at least an hour a day. The only people that aren't members speak Spanish but, there are some less active members we have been working with too. I'm still trying to get things figured out here. We haven't really had a normal day because of the Holiday. Pioneer Day here is a BIG DEAL! Haha. It is like the only Holiday they really party on. Haha. For the forth of July and other holidays they usually go to bigger towns to celebrate. It was a lot of fun helping out with the celebration though. We got to help build a float for the parade. Then, we made the town breakfast and held doors for people. They have a theme every year with this festival type thing, along with pioneers, and this year was around the world. So kids would have passports and there was different countries that would stamp their passport and give them something. I was in charge of the Germany stand. So, I got to hand out gummy bears and pretend I was a German in Germany (Okay, maybe it wasn't required to pretend you really were a German in Germany but, I did. Haha. It was fun! Haha). I would ask the kids questions like:
"Where are you from?" And when they would tell me. And I would be like, "Is that in America? Wow, that soooo cool! I've always wanted to go to America"...
"Is this there first time visited Germany?"
"Is this there first time out of the country?"
"Do you know any German? (If they didn't I would speak the one word I know to them "nine" which means 'no'. Haha. They probably thought I was fluent in German. ;) )
Anyways, I teased the tourist a lot. It was a fun time. Hah
Well, I don't know what else to say. Oh, I have only one companion now. Her name is Sister Madson. She's from a small town in California. And there is young girl here who loves the missionaries and wants to go on a mission some day. Her name is Callin. She is such a sweet girl . I let her be a missionary with us for most of one of the day. She did a bunch of service with us and I let her barrow one of my tags so she was official.
Well that's all for now love you!!
