Sister Gropp

His Grace is Sufficient.

*to my Gillespie family would you please forward to Troy and Trents families?  From Sicily

Hi Family-

I am struggling to find words to write. My heart is so sad learning about the accident with Uncle Troy and Uncle Trent. I love you. I know that the Savior is real, and that He loves us. I would like to share a small part of the writings of Paul in the New Testament, when the Savior said: “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” His grace is sufficient. Sufficient to heal all broken hearts. Sufficient to perfect the un-perfect. Sufficient to own, to redeem and to justify. It is through His grace we can find strength and solace. Families can be together forever. His grace has made that possible. Our Savior loves you. I am praying for you.

This week Sister Bauer came to town! She is a spiritual giant, all 6 feet of her. ;) I have already learned so much from her. Sister Bauer is from Arizona! Her family is from the White Mountains, and we found out we lived in the Val Vista Lakes area around the same time (Val Vista and Guadalupe). Crazy right? We have already been asked if we are twins and sisters multiple times. We sure get along well.Plus she is an amazing cook!! #Score I am amazed at the examples of all of my companions. They are amazing! I have been so blessed. We had a long week with trips to Raleigh for leadership training meetings and getting Sister Bauer settled etc. But we are getting the swing of things. On Friday when we were at a meeting in Raleigh President James really threw some game changers! They are big changes but will make a big difference in the work. Basically we are going to be spending a lot less time with members and a lot more time knocking doors. It will be a little different but it will be good.

I have a feeling I won't be in Wilmington for too much longer, (I wish I could just stay here for my entire mission) but I am trying my best to leave this area better than I found it. It's sometimes hard seeing the difference you make as a missionary. A lot of times I think "What in the world was I thinking... I can't teach people the gospel, I don't even know it all yet!" Good example was on Thursday night. We had a lesson with Jim and Stephanie in the Bishops home. We were teaching them about temples, and to be honest I just felt like the lesson was scrambled eggs. You know what I mean? I was sort of fumbling over my words, and Stephanie looked confused, and I was just a mess! haha I know it didn't go as bad as I thought it did, but I felt like it wasn't quite on point. I felt so bad for not being able to make the lesson as good as it could have been. I was praying for the next few days that everything would make sense to Stephanie and that she would understand the beauty and sacredness of the temple, and that she would be excited to go there with Jim. At church on Sunday I felt like my prayers were answered. Sister Rogers and a member of the high council spoke about temples. They were beautiful talks and the Spirit was so strong in the meeting. My heart was so full as I listened to the messages that were shared. The Lord took care of it. He always does! What a feeling of relief after that meeting. It was PERFECT. The speakers were so inspired. I love this ward so much. I don't even know how to describe it! I love the gospel even more. It is truly amazing.

The Lord is watching over us. If we turn to Him, He can truly heal us and turn our weaknesses into strengths.

Dad- Congrats on the new business changes! Woohoo! I am very excited for you. I hope all goes well. Thanks for sharing that with Brother Bingham. He's so great! As long as he doesn't share my other youtube videos again I'm good... haha

Mom- I hope you are doing okay. Give the family a big hug from me. I saw a picture of something about a scholarship? What?? Tell me about it!! What are you going to school for? I am excited for you. My back is doing better, the chiropractor really helped. I used the last visit this week and I was so sad! My neck is pretty crazy right now but I can deal with it alright. Just have to remember my mission is short, I can fix it all when I get home. :) Funny story, I found out my chiropractor plays basketball at our church on Thursdays, we gave him to the Elders as a referral! Maybe it all happened for a reason ;)

Ken- Dude write me! haha Okay sorry I'll be more patient. Love you. Need some updates! Hope your life is rockin!

Brayson- Love you brutha! Excited to get your letter! :) I'll write you a real one back! :)

Sorry for no pictures this week! We are at the library and I can't send pictures without a special adapter thingy.... Bummer.

Have a great week! Love you so much. :)
