Londonderry, Northern Ireland

Sister Cardon and Sister Ryan

Busy Week!

This week was pretty busy! We had to go into Belfast on Tuesday and Wednesday for Zone Conference and then Smartstart (training) lots of traveling. It took us out of our area for two days, It was really good though! We did lots and lots and lots of role plays which aren't my strength but they definitely strenghten me. It is also moves week and I'm technically half way done with my training which is sooo crazy to think! This week we worked a lot with Maliky. On Wednesday we taught him to keep the Sabath day holy and planned to invite him to church again (for probably the 6th time or so). At the end of the lesson we asked him if he would come to church this week and he accepted! I cannot express what I felt! I never imagined I would be so excited for someone to come to church but it was the greatest feeling to hear those words. Im sure I made some sort of crazy "Im so excited" face because he was half laughing half smirking haha. It was so good though. He came to church and wasn't able to stay the whole three hours but enjoyed what he saw and felt. We have an appointment with him tonight so we will be able to follow up a little more with him. In preparation to coming to church we told him to come with a question and that if he prayed about it and came to church that he would recieve and answer to that question. Sacrament meeting was really good! I taught primary and then me Sister Ryan and Sister Cardon taught Relief Society. It was a really good lesson and the spirit was really strong. We kept getting AMEN's from sweet Tracy (an investigator from Africa) throughout it the whole time, it was grand! We also met with Winifred this week and taught her the Plan of Salvation. She is solid and is coming to church July 7th (she has had commitments with her church choir up until then). She agrees with everything that we have taught her and really likes the church because we don't focus so much on the death of |Christ but more of the Life and Resurrection. Once she gets to church she will like it even more, so we are looking forward to that! This town is crazy! They have some huge party/concert/event like every weekend but it is great I love it! Always something going on! It has been pretty cold and wet this week but I think I'm somewhat getting used to it. I think because the fact that Im in Ireland Im just loving it. I really do love it here! i just want everyone here to accept this message. Londonderry reminds me a lot of 2 Nephi 29. It is almost like they are quoting it when we stop and talk to people. Hearts are being prepared and softened though! I have seen so many miracles and changes happen with our investigators over these last few weeks. It is the most amazing feeling to be able to share this message and is such a priveledge. The Lord is trusting me with this part of his vineyard and I just want to do all that I can to make sure that I am taking care of it. Hope all is well with all of you out of school and enjoying summer! Soak in a little of that sun for me! :)
