culture week

We had some pretty cool things we got to experience this week. I would say it was quite a culture week! We a had a potential from Egypt bring us some crazy and yummy sweets strait from Egypt! It was pretty cool. I will probably never get to try some of those things again but they were way good! A recent convert from Nigeria made us some good Nigerian food including PLANTAINS!!!!! yum! She also gave me this Nigerian dress! It is way cute and I wore it to church yesterday. Then on the bus home it was funny because I was talking to this Nigerian guy on the bus and then he asked me where I got my dress and he was like " that is from my country". We also got to go and shear sheep this week! It was so cool! It is like peeling a big fluffy orange! haha

This week I learned so much from my study. I studied a lot about gratitude. I learned a lot from Pres. Uchtdorfs latest talk. It just clicked in my brain. He talks about how Gratitude is the catalyst to all Christlike attributes and how important it is to be grateful no matter what our circumstances are. I love his quote: " How much of life do we miss by waiting to see the rainbow before thanking God that there is rain?" It is so true! I want to be a lot better at being grateful for everything because truly there is so much to be thankful for and it is the one thing we can do even when our situations might not be the best. I love my Savior and His example and Atonement that enables me to change.

I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!

Love Sister Moore
