Hermana Levy

Missionaries are soldiers.

Hey everyone!

Hope you are all doing well this week. We have had a pretty normal week in Nibaje. This week I really wanna focus on the investigators...

Gleny - She got baptized and she´s really converted to this gospel. It took her four years to get baptised. Heavenly Father really knows what He´s doing.

Cristina and her daughters - We sat down with them and they immediately took out something to take notes and they come to church every week and want to change their lives. Cristina is our dear friend and she has had to pass through so many hard things in her life. She just wants some peace and a friend. I think she knows she can find all of that through this gospel. They accepted a baptismal date for September! We can just feel the spirit so strong in every lesson with her.

Roberto- Loves to serve and loves to read the word of God. He´s really smart and sensitive to the spirit. He loves to share his opinion about the gospel. He has really opened up to us recently and has started reading the Book of Mormon. He wants to be baptized, but doesn´t want to put a date. I think that he is ready and knows that he is ready, but the Spirit needs to touch him a little bit more and he´ll get baptized!

Another thing that happened was that we had to teach a lesson in English and it was SOOO hard for me. I even had to pray in English and had to say it really slow to know what I was saying. I don´t know how I am going pray and teach when I am at home haha. We also had interviews with President Castillo and intercambios (exchanges) for 2 hours. That was fun haha. Roberto told me something really beautiful the other day. He said that missionaries are soldiers. They come out on a mission and they work so hard for what they believe in and then when they´re done they get to rest for a little bit. That was so cool to hear. We're all in that same boat. We are the Lord´s soldiers and in the end we get to rest. We are also going to help out in institute to find new investigators, so that´s gonna be interesting.

Here´s a scripture that I liked this week...

2 Nephi 5 verse 27 says,
¨27 And it came to pass that we lived after the manner of happiness.¨

This is talking about Nephi´s family. They only lived after the manner of happiness when they were being obedient and doing the small things. Sometimes we lose our sight of how we can be happy in our hard times, but when we do the small things like praying daily, reading our scriptures daily, and keeping the Sabbath day holy, we can find the strength to move on. We can be happy no matter where we are in life or what is happening. We just need to turn to our Father in Heaven.

Have a great week,
Hermana Maikoski
