Hermana Maxfield

Happy Late Mother's Day

So I have one of the best daughters in the whole entire mission. Hermana Shaw called me on Mother´s Day hahaha. Anyway this week was a crazy, hard week.

Some awesome points of this week were -
I talked with my BEAUTIFUL family yesterday! Then one day this week we were looking for a referral and we couldn´t find him so we asked this one family where he lived. They let us in and we started talking. They are such a beautiful family. The wife has a dad who is a member and said that they went to the Mormon church when they were little as a family. We´ll see where it goes! Then we were visiting a member and her friend showed up and said that she wanted to learn more about our church and came to church this Sunday! It was an awesome miracle! Also our fire alarm randomly went off at like 1 in the morning one day and we have no idea why. Oh well...

We are going to have 2 baptisms on Saturday and they were a huge surprise. They both told us from the VERY beginning that they wanted to be baptized and it is finally happening. I can tell you more of their story next week when I have more time! Their names are Josias and Robinson.

I wanted to share a quick scripture that I found this week and it´s in 2 Timothy 1 verse 7. It says, ¨For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.¨ I love this scripture because as I was reading my Patriarichal blessing and my set apart blessings this week I found something that I had never seen before. It said that I had - have a valiant spirit. I went and looked up the word valiant and found this verse. When we are valiant we don´t fear. We trust in Heavenly Father. When we do so, He gives us power, love, and a sound mind. This has given me ALOT of strength this past week to not be scared and to put my ALL into this work. If you are struggling with something, turn to your Father in Heaven for strength and peace. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Sorry that this is all over the place, but that´s my email for this week.

Have a great week and love you all,
Hermana Maikoski
