Hermana Letinu

Let's conquer the enemy!

Hey everyone!

This week was another great one! The situation is changing a lot here! When I first came the members didn´t want to do anything and now they do. All of the members are more positive. Also there were no baptismal dates here, and now there are three. They are Sarais, Francia, and Juan Carlos - I´ll tell more about them in a second, but first I wanna say something kinda funny haha. So we were walking in the street and this man hissed at me and said, ¨I love you short one!¨ Then I was just laughing so hard haha.

Anyway Sarais is 15 and she has SOOO much faith. She has come to church 5 times since they started teaching her. Whenever we had citas with her things were always crazy so we decided to have a lesson in the church and things were WAY different. The spirit told me that we should show her the baptismal font because she had been asking to see it, so we showed her it and the spirit was SO strong. She said that she feels very calm and peaceful in our church and has never felt that before! She´s awesome.

Juan Carlos and Francia are really new but have a love for the Book of Mormon. I don´t really know very much about them yet, but they are cool. Then we have this other investigator that is going to have a fecha (date) very soon. His name is Santiago. Before I came here he had problems with the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith. We explained to him better what the Book of Mormon was and now he reads it VERY often and understands it REALLY well. He really wants to know what church is true even though he was already baptized in another church. He knows that the church he was baptized in isn´t true. I can see the Spirit working on him. I can see him changing already. He started talking about baptism before we even mentioned it. All he needs to do is come to church.

Things are going really great here and I am really happy.

I wanted to share a scripture that´s in Moroni 9 verse 6 that says, ¨And now, my beloved son, notwithstanding their hardness, let us labor diligently; for if we should cease to labor, we should be brought under condemnation; for we have a labor to perform whilst in this tabernacle of clay, that we may conquer the enemy of all righteousness, and rest our souls in the kingdom of God.¨

Even though the people may not listen, we need to labor diligently because it is our purpose to share the gospel. We can all conquer the enemy together!! It made me think of what President Castillo told me when I came here that I need to keep working hard and not get tired of working hard. That´s how life is! We need to always give it all to our Father in Heaven because He is the one who gave us this life.

I attached pics of me with a turtle, us with Hermana Lopez and Cedeno, and us with chips that taste like Takis. Have a great week.

Love you all,
Hermana Maikoski
