Hermana Evelyn

"When you go to comfort and serve anyone for the Savior, He prepares the way for you."

A quote that I saw last week was, "When you go to comfort and serve anyone for the Savior, He prepares the way for you." This was so comforting for me! So I attached the song that Hermana Evelyn and I performed for our live devotion with Elder Civic and I attached Hermana Evelyn and my voices for Father's Day!

On Saturday of last week, Hermana Evelyn and I were walking around the temple and there were a ton of kids. We stopped and talked to them for a little bit. They were so adorable!

On the 12th, I woke up and my left eye was SO swollen. I have no idea what happened. Hermana Evelyn took care of me though. It was terrible and I could not concentrate at all. That same day we listened to a devotional from Elder Bednar and it was SOOOO good. I touched my sould. He wrote a song called "One by One" that will be published in the New Era next month. It said, "One by one, He saw their tears. One by one, He calmed their fears." It was so beautiful. Sundays are always my favorite days, not only because they are in English, but because they are so uplifting.

On Monday night, my comp and I talked for a while and she reminded me of something my mom taught me. She taught me to know when Satan was talking to me. Then, on Tuesday of last week, I was having a really hard time and in personal study I was reading in D&C 3 when it was talking about how Joseph Smith lost the 116 pages of the BOM. It was very powerful to me because I have been more fearful and less trusting of God since I have been trying to learn Spanish and since I've been in the mission field. In verse 3 it says, "Remember that it is not the work of God that is frustrated, but the work of man." In verse 7 it says, "For behold, you should not have feared man more than God..." Verse 8 says, "Yet you should have been faithful and he whould have supported you against all the fiery darts of the adversary; and he would have been with you in every time of trouble. Verse 9, "...thou wast chosen to do the work of the Lord..." Verse 10, "... God is merciful... and thou art still chosen." I had definitely been letting Satan into my thoughts. Satan only has power over me if I let him have it.

We're going to the university on Friday to teach. Holy COW! I am so scared haha, but it will be okay. The devotional with Elder Civic was so great and he had each missionary come up to him and shake his hand. He talked to me a little bit and it was really neat. He said that our musical number touched him.

I know that my Savior lives and loves me. My Heavenly Father is aware of me and you. He has called me to this work and will qualify me for it. I love you all and hope you have a great Father's Day and great weekend.
