Time is Precious

Hey everyone!

This week was a week full of miracles and we had lots of fun. The elders bought us Wendy frosties, we had zone conferece, a ward activity, choir practice, and we carved a watermelon for Halloween. See pics below. I attached a pic with Clara at the activity!

Anyway, we had choir practice because Elder Cook is coming to the DR on Saturday and we´re gonna sing for him. SO EXCITED. In the zone conference I had to give my testimony because I will be leaving soon and I was the only one that cried. They also gave us flu shots so right now I have a really bad cold and can barely talk, but it´s okay. I am doing everything I can to feel better as soon as I can. At our ward activity we talked about the principles of the gospel and had lots of fun with the members and investigators. One investigator, Clara, told us that she will NEVER stop coming to our church because it is so beautiful and she always feels at peace. She is SUPER excited and I know that she can feel the spirit. She will my last baptism of the mission! Also we have another investigator that we found out that she is living with a member... But we think that we can work everything out so that she can be baptized very soon.

Something that I learned this week is that we really need to enjoy EVERY moment that we have wherever we are. I love what the Missionary Handbook has to say about time. It says,¨Time is one of the most precious resources Heavenly Father has given you. The period when you are able to serve the Lord with all your time and all your efforts is extremely short. Use it fully and wisely. Such an opportunity is a privilege.¨

It really is a privilege to serve the Lord for a year and a half. As we use our time wisely and serve with all our efforts we will truly be happy. I can´t believe how fast time is going. Enjoy the moments that you have with others because we never know when they are going to leave this Earth.

I know that as we dedicate more time to the Lord and when we serve Him we will have REAL happiness and REAL joy. That´s what Heavenly Father wants from us.

Have a great week and love you all,
Hermana Maikoski
