Laie, Hawaii

Sister Pat Bisson

Aloha from Hawaii

Aloha from Hawaii,

Sorry my letters are few and far between. I am busy, and loving it here. I got another new roommate last night, she is from Katy Texas, and is in the same ward as Nancy Brinton's sister Sue, so we had talked a little before she came. She seems like a wonderful sister, and I think we will get along fine. Her name is Sister Pat Bisson.
Last week-end my two brothers Blake and Brad and their wives brought my mom all the way across the ocean to see me. I loved having them here, and we had a lot of fun. They rented a beach house and it was right on the ocean, just walked across the lawn down four steps and you were on the beach. We did a temple session Friday morning, the PCC in the afternoon and evening, Saturday we were on the road by 6:30 to get to Pearl Harbor to get tickets to go out to see the USS Arizona. That was a great experience, one I had not done yet. We also did the Swap meet and the Punch bowl, which is the National Cemetery. That is a beautiful place. We went to Ted's bakery to get garlic shrimp for dinner, and had a nice day. Blake loved Ted's Bakery, and wanted to eat every meal there. Sunday was church, and then sight seeing at some of the beaches, we were able to see the turtles, and the waves were awesome that day. We took a walk up the hill behind the temple, and looked out over the city of Laie. It is beautiful up there you can see out to the ocean. We also went to Pali Lookout. I was sorry to see them go, This week a friend from Queen Creek arrived with his family. It was fun to see them.
We are starting to get ready for the fire knife competition which is held at the PCC in May, I am looking forward to seeing what that is like, but I know it will be very busy.
Hope all if fine and well with all of you. I know I have left some stuff out, my memory is not to great. Until next time, Love all of you. Sister Johnson
