Conference was wonderful!

Can I just say how wonderful General Conference was. I loved every minute of it, and I was so glad that I had the opportunity to watch it. So, things in Hawaii are going along fine. It is a beautiful place, and the people are very polite and friendly. The prices are a little high, and the malls aren't near as exciting as in Arizona, but I am getting by. We do have Costco and Walmart. Life at the PCC is always exciting. I love going out in the morning and taking care of the fish food machines. Every once in awhile I run into the peacocks that have taken up residence. I never know where they are going to turn up. I'm getting better acquainted with the people and starting to remember some names. Their names are so hard to pronounce that they are hard to remember. The PCC was built to provide jobs for the BYU Hawaii students, so we have a lot of them working here. We have a cute little girl working in the office I am in, and I am starting to become attached to her. She is from the Philippines, and a cute little thing. Her name is Chona. It is good to be around the students because it kind of helps, since I do not having my grandchildren around. I miss them. Kelsey has given me an assignment to send her some things from here, so she can do a presentation for one of her college classes, so I am busy trying to get all that together and in the mail. I was glad to have her ask for help. I hope I do a good enough job.
Once a year each Island puts on a devotional, they start with Breakfast, and then there is an hour program after, they sing, and then about four of the students who are ready to graduate talk and tell of their experiences at the PCC and at BYU. I have been to the one from Tonga, which was last month, and now Fiji is doing theirs this Friday. One of my jobs is to help with that, I had to order the lei's, and make sure all the silver ware is wrapped in the napkin and in the basket, and get the table cloths and table runners ready for the tables. It is a pretty exciting place. I wish you could all come over here and see it, I feel very blessed to be here in such a fun beautiful place. Hope all is well wherever you are. Take care I hope I didn't rattle on too much, it is kind of hard to explain what I do, since it is different from day to day.

Love,
Sharon
