Week 59
i just want to share my testimony:
i love my savior with all of my heart. i know that Jesus Christ knows us, personally, because He suffered for us personally. He knows how we feel, He knows what frustrates us and He knows our trials, and for that reason He knows how to comfort and help us. I know God lives, that He is my Heavenly Father. i know that He loves us so much that He gave us a plan to come down to the earth to become more like Him, which is only possible through His Son. i know that because of His plan, I have a way to progress, learn and become like my Savior. i know that families are essential to this process and i know that families can live together forever. I know that His gospel is faith in the Son, repentance, baptism, the gift of the holy ghost and to persevere until the end. I know that it is never too late to start on this path and its never too early to decide to recheck exactly where we are on our journey. we should always be striving to put what's really important in front of everything else. I know that God administers to his children through His saints (sinners who just keep on trying). I will forever be grateful for my journey in the mission that literally changed my perspective on every little detail in my life. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true Church of Christ - that Joseph Smith, a 14 year old boy who wanted an answer, prayed to have guidance and clarity and that God and His Son appeared to him. I know that Joseph Smith was given the power to restore the church so that we can perform saving ordinances here on the earth. This wasn't just a part of history, but rather an invitation, for each and every one of God's children on the earth to do the same. There is one person who will never lie to us, and that is God and i know that if we ask him, with sincerity in our hearts: if the church has been restored though a latter day prophet, that He will answer us. I know that today, we have a prophet that guides us so that we know exactly what God wants us to do and how we should do it. I know that his name is Russell M. Nelson. I know that the Book of Mormon was a part of this restoration, so that we have another Testament of Jesus Christ with the fulness of the gospel. I know that its words, when applied, have the power to change lives. I have learned to absolutely love reading from its pages and I testify that every single word points to our Savior. I love this gospel with all my heart, especially during times like these when there is so much uncertainty. The true Gospel of Christ brings peace, joy and everlasting blessings. It changes lives, it aligns our will with Gods and it has a power that cannot be bound within this earth. I testify that we are not here by chance. I testify that God has a plan for each and every one of his children but that it is our choice whether or not to make the sacrifice to follow it. I know that we all have a responsibility to ourselves and to our God to actively participate in His organization during these latter days. Every man is his own missionary, and if you aren't convinced, pray for the strength and for the truth to do so. As my mission is now winding now i have finally come to realize that in reality it is just starting. Like every other member of the Church of Jesus Christ, I stand as a witness that God exists, Christ is real and that we are His children. Our purpose here on earth is to learn and grow through our faith in Christ, leading us to His restored church with its priesthood power and ordinances so that we can continue and then help others do the same. There is one path. One way. I invite everyone to really think about where they are along their path in Christ, and I leave this with you all, in His sacred name, even Jesus Christ, amen.
