We started out this week with a Zone Training. Sister Hamblin and I and the Zone leaders instructed together. We began it as the 22 missionaries were told to close their eyes and we handed them all an apple. I began to talk to them as they felt their apple, and told them, "All of you are holding your apple. I want you to feel it. These apples represent people in your area who are ripe and ready to harvest! And we always talk about the ELECT, and in this example, all of you are holding a green apple and only ONE of you is holding a red apple. Raise your hand if you think you are holding an elect red apple." Only one or two of them raised their hands. We then told them to open their eyes and they were ALL holding red apples. This was all a demonstration to show them that the only reason they couldn't have faith that their apple was red was because they were blind. It was powerful for the Zone but it was almost as powerful for us as leaders. I am so blessed. I have the best Zone in the world. So proud of them.
Tuesday was our first rehearsal for the play we are doing... "How Elder Grinch Stole Christmas" It's going to amazing. I had several people tell me I have a career in directing Theater in the future... haha. Proabably not. My Zone is wonderful.
Faith produces miracles. On Thursday, we stopped by a college kid named Sonia and she was actually home and NOT flakey. We taught her the Restoration and the Plan of Salvation this week, and she has been loving every second. We are excited to see her progress.
Some random things:
- I bonded with potential investigators over World of Warcraft this week. Harry Potter as well. We stopped by a potential last night and it is actually the first person I've ever met in my whole life who loves HP as much as I do. At the beginning of our talk, she was very stand-offish and told us she didn't like God at all. But by the end, after several discussions about God AND Draco Malfoy, she told us she wants us to come back. God really uses us in several ways! Haha
-While we were doing service on Saturday and while we were, there were these 14 year old boys on bikes on the corner who were making vulgar signs to everyone who drove by. It was gross. One of them started yelling at us, and the other one grabbed him and said, "Hey, shut up! Those guys teach people about GOD." and shoved him on the ground. It was pretty funny.
LOVE YOU ALL!
