Canto Rey

Hermana Bravo

A mate a day keeps the doctor away in canto rey

Wow for the first time, (and of course in my last transfer), God put me with an Argentine!!
So Monday afternoon we received transfers - that I'd be transferred with Hermana Luna to Canto Rey as Sister training leaders and open an área. Oh, and what presidente forgot to tell us is that we'd be the only Sister training leaders in San Juan de Lurigancho (in charge of 5 zones)🙃🙃🙃.
It was hard to leave Postes. It was hard to say goodbye to La Familia Piñero, Rolando and his sons, Grisel, Hna Galvez, etc. That área has probably been my favorite, and I will never forget it💗
The good thing is that we are leaders over the área Postes so we can do splits there, etc.
Haha, well I prayed that the Father would give me a challenge in my last transfer to keep me focused, but I wasn't expecting SUCH a challenge. There is a lot of work to do, especially strengthen the members. There aren't a lot of active members, and the ward has had 3 bishops in one year... BUT, the good thing is that on Sunday we were able to meet a lot of the members and help them. Funny thing haha the sisters that were here before us logged out of the "area book" app which has alllllll the information in it, so we couldn't see any of the members information, the people they were teaching, etc.
Bishop's wife is helping us a ton! She's a doll and is our pensionista for these first like 3 weeks. We have a lot of faith in the area, and I know that the Lord trusts us a lot and there is reason why He put us here :-)
I get along super well with Hna Luna - she reminds me a lot of my sister Eliza and she's honestly a blessing in my life. I am excited for our time together! We have been in the same area (not at the same time) so we talk a lot about our good old friends from there. also she speaks a lot of English!!
Some tender mercies this week were that I was able to use talents to strengthen our relationship with the ward. I've been able to play piano in the ward and they were super grateful, and changed completely the way they associated with us. Funny how a talent I haven't practiced in 17 months was able to help the ward. Oh and I picked up with the "English Connect" lessons the sister before was teaching, and that's helped us with the members!
It's been a little hard this week just because we don't know a lot around the area, but yesterday in spite of it all, the Lord blessed us with 5 investigators. I know that the Lord provides ALWAYS. And that He blesses us for our sacrifices. I've learned a lot of things in my time on the mish, but I can truly testify that the Savior lives and He knows us.
I love you all! Have a great week
