Hermana Bravo

Sit down, be humble

Hola mis queridos, hemos estado super bien esta semana. Gracias por todo su apollo y amor :-)
On Tuesday we had zone conference! Wow I love our new mission president, he really is an inspired man and his wife is just great! Wednesday we went to the temple again - my favorite place to be!
We are teaching José Luis who has been to a lot of different churches, and he finished 1st Nephi recently. We taught him the plan of salvation and we prayed with him to know if the Book of Mormon is true.
We are also teaching Maria More - she is a little feminist and has a lot of doubts about why women can't have the  Priesthood, and about the sacrament and the way our church is. But, we just try to look at her through heaven's eyes and that she is a daughter of God!
I've been pondering a lot this week on humility and how much we really need to follow the Lord.I read this week the talk "Yes, Lord, I Will Follow Thee". Sometimes, the plan the Lord has for us is not anything like what we want. We really just need to HUMBLE OURSELVES, and summit to His will.
Out here in Perú I have learned how to help people who are not members of the church do this, by helping them overcome addictions and put their old life behind and truly following the Lord 100%.
And those of us, who are members of this church, have already committed to the Lord to do just that. Elder Gavarret said "One who is a member of the Church and has accepted this invitation renews the commitment each week by partaking of the sacrament. Part of that commitment includes keeping the commandments; by doing so you are saying, ´Yes, Lord, I will follow Thee!´"
It is essential for us to KEEP going - every week take of the sacrament and remember our covenants. I have seen many times in my life when the Father's will does not seem easy, and sometimes even possible - I've had to just humble myself and trust Him. But, I know that if we humble ourselves and recognize that His will is better than ours, then He completely will provide.
I hope you all have a grand week, and that you remember He is there and He loves you!
All my love,
Hermana Andreasen
