YOU´LL NEVER BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED. A DOG BIT ME SUPER HARD AND I GOT RABIES. I HAD TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL AND THEY HAD TO GIVE ME A SHOT. ha. just kidding. APRIL FOOLS!!
Okay but seriously, haha this week was good. We saw a ton of miracles!
For starters, Eduin and Maria Elena. Elders in a nearby area contacted them when they were with their 2 children, passed the reference to us, and we went to visit them. The first time we visited them, they seemed a little tense, and when we asked them how their relationship is as a couple, they said "mas o menos".
We taught them lesson 1, and when we returned 2 days later, I felt really strongly to show them a video of the First Vision, with the song "the prophet's prayer" playing. They loved the video. When we returned the next day, Eduin had told us he played that video all morning long, and when he was working and had a bad thought/Satan tried to tempt him, he just sang that song in his head and thought of the video. They came to church yesterday, and when we visat them last night, they had church videos of Christ playing, while doing their daily routine. As we visited them, I noticed how much of a difference we have seen in them in just this last week. They get along better as a couple, and they show more love for their children. This was a testimony builder for me about the power of music in conversion.
Alejandro (baptised 2 weeks ago) went to church last week, and the members told us that he defended the Book of Mormon when an investigator asked a lot of questions in a not nice way. It touched my heart to hear that he stood up for what we helped him discover was right :-)
Yesterday we had to use the bathroom, so we went to a nearby family in the ward. We knocked on the door, they let us in, and the first thing we see is them all taking pictures with a birthday cake. In the end, I guess you could say we are now professional birthday party crashers. oh and they gave us cake, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
We were standing in a store buying something, a man went to set a glass bottle of Inca Kola on the table, it fell, and shattered right by my companions feet. I immediately asked her if she was okay and looked for cuts - the ground was covered with glass parts, but she was completely fine. Heavenly Father takes care of his missionaries!
We are starting to see the fruits of our labor out here, and I am loving serving in this area.
I absolutely love my companion, and I love the work of the Lord.
As we are now entering April, there is oh so much to think about. This weekend we have the grand opportunity to hear from our dear prophet. And also to remember our beloved Savior. I know that He lives. I know that He is directing our church, and that He has great things in store for every single one of us. I know our Heavenly Father has a body of flesh and bones, and that He really hears our prayers. I am so thankful for my family and that my Father blessed me with amazing parents and siblings, and I am thankful for my mission - the good times and the difficult times. I am so blessed!
I love you all.
be strong and pray!
