Woahhh!! When did time go by so fast?? Going to complete 9 months here in the mission this week. En que momento?? This week we saw a lot of miracles! My daughter Hna Martinez is doing good, and we are working well together to help the people here in Villa Hermosa. We had an appointment with a family who were baptized a few years ago but they became inactive - they are a great family, and we are going to help them go to the temple. One of them told us he wants to be a prophet, so I told he's gotta start going to church if he wants that to happen. And the other wants to go on a mission but he is studying to be a tattoo artist. Some interesting combinations there, but we're helping them become active haha.We had a work visit with Sister Rivas from Ecuador for a day - learned a lot, and she helped us in our area. Ate some ceviche (photos), sang some songs, and laughed a ton. Love her lots!
We had 11 people come to church yesterday, which was a miracle. We are also starting to teach a few families about the Gospel, and we are super excited.
We starting doing something here in the mish called "acto de fé" every day. When we plan in the morning we think about what we can do that day inspired, or what goals we fail to do every day. Some days our acto de fé has been to do 40 contactos sí o sí.
One day we prayed to find a guy named Pedro who is single and trying to find the Gospel. We started talking to a like 26 year old guy, and at the end I asked his name... "Pedro, y tú?"What. What a miracle!! Even though he didn't go to church yesterday, he is going to come to the English class.
We are working hard out here - we are doing better getting to know the area, now we are just fighting to help the people we are teaching to obtain a testimony of the Gospel.
I know without a doubt the church is true. I know God lives, and I know that Joseph Smith truly restored this church.
I consider myself extremely happy. I am happy here, and I love wearing the Savior's name on my chest.
Love you all.
