Hello! This week I don't have a lot of time to write, but I want to share some highlights of the week :)
A lot of people have been asking me about the water situation - the water systems are still shut off, but our mission president has been sending water bins from the offices. It's really good exercise to carry heavy water bins up 3 flights of stairs! hehe. We are doing okay here without water, last night the Bishop's family let us shower in their house!! it was ice cold water, but I was oh so happy! It's the little things in life that you miss!
Antonio told us last week that he is going to travel for work for a whole month. He was 99% sure that he was gonna leave on Saturday for his trip. My companion and I held on to the hope that he wouldn't leave on Saturday, but would leave on Monday. So, throughout the week we just prayed a lot that he would leave Monday so he could be baptised on Saturday. We kept teaching him, and we programmed his baptism for Sat night. On Thursday he has his baptismal interview with our District leader, and there was a problem that needed to be resolved through our mission president. On Friday, we decided to fast for Antonio that he wouldn't travel til Monday, and that president would authorize his baptism. No joke, 5 minutes after we started our fast, our District Leader called us, super excited, saying that President authorized his baptism, which is SUPER rare, and that we are super lucky! Then, right after, Antonio calls us and tells us that his friends want to leave for their trip on Monday, and Antonio then asked us to make sure his baptism will come to pass on Saturday.
Such a blessing!! His baptism was beautiful, and the Spirit was definitely there. Hna Rincon and I sang, and his whole family was there. It was a very amazing experience.
We found Jonal, who lived in the US this last year - he took the lessons from the missionaries, and has a lot of interest in the church. Jonal has been blind for 10 years, and he is absolutely amazing! He is a really great example to me. One of my best friends from home´s dad was blinded years ago, and Jonal was able to remind me of that amazing man I met!

I am so so so thankful for this church. I am thankful for the opportunity to be here in Perú sharing the Gospel, and wearing our Savior's name on my chest. I´ve been out here for almost 8 months, and the time is flying. I am enjoying every moment!
