What's going on everyone? I hope you are all doing just dandy!
This week was very good. I don't have a lot to report, but I do want to share some experiences that made this week super good!
Bueno entonces our dear Hermana Clarismar is literally so amazing. I don't remember how much I wrote about her last week, but so we found her on the street, we began to talk to her and she started crying when we asked her about her husband. Turns out she recently separated from her husband and now she is a single mother and she doesn't have a job either. But she is reading the scriptures and praying every night, she is so amazing! We bought her a triple from the temple with D and C and the Pearl of Great Price! She is preparing for her baptism for the 17th of this month.
Halloween in Perú was... different, but the same, haha. Peruanos do the same things for Halloween as in the US, but it is just more low key. People here believe that Halloween is Satanical and that it's from the devil so not everyone celebrates it. So yeah, Halloween was fun but different!
On Saturday after lunch, we started our fast for the weekend. Right after we started our fast it started to be SUPER hot outside, and we were up in the hills helping an area of elders, and it was very difficult for us to fast because we were super thirsty. We were tempted to end our fast, but we prayed to receive help to overcome our physical needs and focus more on why we were fasting. And thanks to our fast, we saw so many blessings yesterday! We had 13 people come to church and take the Sacrament. I truly know that Sacrifices bring forth blessings and that the Lord was mindful of us that day.
I love being able to wear the Lord's name on my chest for 18 months, and to be His hands for the people out here in Santa Luzmila. I am learning more and more each day, and I can see the way the Lord works in the people we are teaching.
