Tender Mercies
Hey everyone! Happy 4th
Berkabile and I received some sad news this week. Ana and Pablo our friends who just got baptized are heading back to Columbia in 10 days. They were planning on staying here for 2 years but some things changed so now they're heading back. I was so sad when they told us but through all of this we have noticed some tender mercies from the lord with this couple:
1. From the day they got to Utah the first thing they did was show up at our church, and receive a Book of Mormon. One of the last things they did before they left was join the church. They were only here for 2 months
2. In both of their Confirmation blessings each one of them said that they would bless and bring the gospel to their family and now God is sending them back there now
3. Their church building in Columbia is one block away from their home
4. They have lived across the street from missionaries in Columbia for 10 years and never heard about the church, but they got to receive it here
5. They are planning to get sealed in the temple a year from now
Something that I have been noticing a lot lately is how these things happen in our lives. And alot of people can say that those are just coincidences. I know for a fact those are tender mercies from the lord. God's plan is too great and too powerful for those to be called "coincidences". I know that he has prepared Ana and Pablo to be the missionaries he needs them to be for their family in Columbia and I am so excited for them to share it. One thing they said to us was, "your message is too important, you need to share it to everyone" and I hope they do the same back home.
We got to have a meeting with Hank Smith and it was so good. He talked a ton about the tender mercies of the lord and how they are available to all of us. He told us to write down the tender mercies of the lord so he knows they are important to us. I hope you all notice them this week I know it helps me notice that he's there!
