Ok to start off! This was my last week with Hermana Mueller, soooo saddd. We really ended off the Transfer good though. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday we didn't have a car this week so we go the privilege of riding bikes for those days. Our area covers a little over half the mission so we were booking it on those bikes hahah. We ended up biking 40 miles in 2 days. It was seriously so much fun though. Although the work was so different and we didn't get to see as many people. We witnessed so mang miracles that week because of our efforts to get out there and bike around.
One of the days we were biking home. We probably had about 30 min of biking left until we would be home, and it was freezingggg out. It was rainy and windy and we were trying to get home as soon as we could because we had a meeting someone was picking us up for. We were biking down the busy road when a couple in an old pick up truck pulled over and asked us if we needed a ride. We gladly accepted and hopped into the car. As we were driving home the husband told. "We always go to Walmart to get our groceries because it's cheaper and closer but today I kept getting the prompting to go to Smiths. And so i decided to act on that prompting and went to Smiths. And then while we were driving home we saw you Sisters and I told myself well maybe this is why I needed to go to Smiths". After he had told us that, we assured him we were the reason he felt he needed to go to Smiths and told him thank you for listening to the promptings of the spirit. He didn't know that we were out on bikes in the cold, or on a time crunch to get home. But heavenly father did. And he used this man to help us. I think it's amazing to understand how aware God is of each of us. He knows what we need and alot of times he uses other people to help us whether or not we think we need help. I'm grateful for those who listen to promptings of the spirit whether or not they understand what the prompting means.
Another little miracle that happened this week was. I got the chance to go back to my previous area for a morning while Sister Mueller went to her departing temple trip with Sister Nagel (my previous comp). I was companions with Sister nagels comp Sister Limburg for the morning. And so I was able to visit some of my friends I previously taught. One of them was my friend Theresa. She is the sweetest person I have ever met. I had the opportunity during my first Transfer to read the book of mormon for someone. I had decided to read it for Theresa. And recently I had just finished reading and marking it up for her. I ended it by writing my testimony of the book of mormon and how I have seen the gospel change my life. I gave her, her Book of Mormon finally that day. It was so happy to see her again and see how much she appreciated me reading it for her. It was probably one of my favorite days this week.
The Book of Mormon is true. The Church is true. Jesus Christ lives. His love is endless. His atonement is real. Heavenly Father knows each of us. His plan is greater than our own. If you're ever questioning any of those things. Read the Book of Mormon because that's what I did. And that's what changed things.
