Sketchy pizza cottage

Hey hey! Here's some highlights of my week!
Monday we had Zone Unity Day. So out entire zone did a Basketball tournament. 10/10 really fun. Mueller and I had to get matching bball fits from Walmart. #staychill (look at the pics to know) Sadly our district didn't win but that's ok haha.

Mueller and I went to this super sketch place called Ally's pizza. It looked like a little cottage from years ago. It had no inside dining. No windows. To order a pizza you knocked on this screen door and you tell them what you want. Mueller and I did not know know we were doing lol. We only went to it because this little kid on the street said they have the best pizza... obviously we trusted his opinion. Anyways we knocked on the screen door and ordered our pizza. And honestly that pizza was some of the best pizza I have ever had. Sooo 10/10 recommend "Sketchy Allys Pizza Cottage" (look at the photo to see what I mean lol)

Went out to dinner with Hannah's mission friend Brynne! Her family was in my last area and they are my all time favorite people. Basically my second family out here on the mission. Love them so much!

Every Thursday we have this all mission zoom called, "Gospel Scholarship". Our mission president has someone speak to us. And this past week this lady named Sister Rebekah Ellsworth talked to us. And it was on "Perfectionism & The Doctrine of Grace. She talked about 10 perfect lies that Satan tries to tell us. Those 10 were:
•Be perfect now
•You can achieve perfection on your own
•We should trust in out own strength
•The idolatry of perfection
•More=Better instead of Me+Christ=More
•We can control our outcomes and others
•We must hide our imperfections
•Beating ourselves up will make us better
•God is watching for our mistakes
•Christ can't or won't save me

I loved this because I think at some point in all our lives we feel one of those feelings. But it's important to remember those perfectionistic thoughts are not from God. He doesn't expect us to be perfect. If we all had to be none of us would be here. Perfection for us is not about being flawless, it's about being in the process to be finished. And allowing ourselves to be refined through Christ. God is aware of all our "imperfections" and still LOVES us the same. That's why he sent his son so we don't have to suffer here on earth alone. Through Christ we can fix any perfection or imperfection we have. He understands how we feel. Perfection is a distant end and a process all we can do is turn to christ and do our best with him.
"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
-Isaiah 53:5
