Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all had a really good day! This week was really good and busy! We were asked from our president to carol as much as we can Christmas eve and Christmas day! As a district we went around caroling 3 hrs in the morning and 3hrs in the night! It was definitely different than any other Christmas I've had. And my voice is definitely gone. But I loved it. Going into people's houses during Christmas time is just so great. Because everyone is trying to focus on the birth of our savior, which allows the spirit to be present alot more. I am so grateful for loving members that made sure we had the vest Christmas possible as well. It was definitely a Christmas I will never forget.
I'm finishing up my first Transfer today. So crazy that the "JOY Transfer" is already over. But I'm so excited for this Transfer that is called the "BEST Transfer". Sad news is sister Joyner and I are splitting up! Very sad because she is defiently one of the best. But I'm so excited to be in a Trio! With Sister Fullmer and Nagle as my companions! I already know I'll love them so much!
ALSO random little embarrassing moment, today in the grocery store I thought I saw M Russell Ballard. I literally got so excited, kinda made a scene to my companion. But seriously if you saw him you all would have thought the same thing! He must have a twin. Anyways it defiently wasn't him and i got some weird looks from those around me haha. But I'm glad my companion got a good laugh about it.
A quote I read this week that I loved is, "Even if you cannot always see that silver lining on your clouds, God can, for He is the very source of the light you seek. He does love you, and He knows your fears. He hears your prayers. He is your Heavenly Father, and surely He matches with His own the tears His children shed." Jeffery R. Holland
I definitely have had to come to realize that God really does know me, and even when it's hard to believe he does understand what I'm going through. I have have choose to trust in him. Something I have been doing is 15 minute prayers. That might be normal for some of you but for me is definitely was not haha. And let me tell you they really help you realize how much you have, and how God loves you. The most important thing tho is listening. Listen to the little thoughts that come to you in your prayer, the feelings you get. Prayer is so powerful if you choose to try it. So I invite you all to do a 15 minute prayer this week! They really work!
