Helloooo! This week has flown by I feel like I just wrote an email lol. However it was such a good week! Here are the highlights:
Hermana Lopez who is from the Tri Cities (crazy ik) found a hockey stick in a garbage can. In her words, "I had the spirit tell me to get it and give it to Elder Porter". So that's what she did. After dinner she went to her car and gave it to him. Elder Porter was so excited. Almost too excited. He was so excited he went over to a pile of golf ball sized rocks and launched one... It headed right towards Hermana Lopez and I. Fortunately it missed me but nailed Hermana Lopez in the leg. Although she was laughing in pain, we all were on the ground dying of laughter. Let's just say Hermana Lopez will never get anything for the elders ever again. Lol
We had the opportunity to do alot of service this week. But something super cool was we went to the Deseret Mill & Pasta for 4 hrs. We packaged a bunch of food. All of it distributed to all the Bishop Store Houses around the world which is so cool!
Our friend Tryston that got baptized this week, he said something that will be my favorite saying. He said that, "sometimes you just gotta say it's a "yup day" where you say yup to everything even when you don't feel like doing something" I loved that, because sometimes you don't want to do everything, but you just need to say yup and go with it!
A scripture I read this week that I loved so much was in, Revelations 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." I know our savior is in the details of our lives, he's waiting for us to open the door and let him in. I know when we let him into our lives we better recognize everything he does for us daily. He is the source or peace, of comfort, of joy, of love. And soooo much more! Love you all! Remember the reason of the season!
