Sister Scott

Hello hello hello!

Well, can you even believe another transfer come and gone? Yeah, me either. But, it's a happy day because everything is staying the same! Another 6 weeks in Newark with Sister Scott. I am so so very excited for all that is ahead this transfer. I know that it is going to be amazing!

This week was so awesome! Last week being in a trio with Sister Whetman. :( We have been so busy, it's been wild. But, also we have been having so much fun. For some reason having a third companion just makes everything.... hilarious. Like, I am really nervous about gaining major lbs on the mission, but the six pack is coming in great this week from all of the laughing. Hahaha. Okay fine, for all of you that know me well, this will not surprise you... I may or may not have peed my pants. Twice. I don't know??? Hahaha.

Anyway.... On a spiritual note, we had a really cool experience the other day. We had the opportunity to go to the temple to do baptisms if we found someone significant that needed to go. So, Sister Scott and I said a prayer to ask who we should find and to pray that it would work out that we could go. And despite our efforts, we were not able to find anyone that could come. BUT, every person that we contacted had some sort of horrible thing going on and really needed some love that day. One with a husband that admitted himself to a rehab facility, a good friend passed away, had just barely gotten in a car accident, etc. So that was really amazing to see God lead us to these individuals and to be an answer to their prayers. And in return, being an answer to ours.

I know without a shadow of a doubt that God does hear and answer our prayers. In His own way and in His own time, yes. But, He does answer them. That brings me so much comfort!!

It's so sad to see so many people going through such hard things, especially without the comfort and peace of the gospel. I feel so blessed to have the knowledge of greater things to come... and greater reason for trials and hardships. With His help we can make it through and become even better because of it.

"Good timber does not grow with ease,
The stronger wind, the stronger trees.
The further sky, the greater length.
The more the storm, the more the strength.
By sun and cold, by rain and snow,
In trees and men good timbers grow."

Love you. Have a blessed week!
