This past week was pretty good! Not too much happened! We went around the ward so Sister Blaser to say bye to a few members. We had district council wednesday morning. It was great! It was a follow up on using the Book of Mormon more when we teach. We had lunch and then took a picture as a district because transfers and 3 missionaries in our district went home!! Oh man!! They are awesome!
We had an appointment with Mason Wednesday afternoon. It went really well. We talked about Gods again. He had some questions about this the last time but we weren't able to answer him. We shared Mosiah 4:9 and told him we don't have all the answers but God does and so we can trust him. We then talked about the scriptures (Book of Mormon, D&C, & Pearl of Great Price). He shared with us 4 things would pass the test of scripture being the word of God. We came to the conclusion at the end that we have more similarities than not with our beliefs.
Transfer day was Thursday! I dropped off Sister Blaser at the stake center at 8:30 am and waited all day till 5:00 pm for Sister Jack! She is so awesome!! It was a bit of a long day but it was good! Sister Jack is from Idaho and has been out almost a year! And she is a rock star!
On Friday we went to the nursing home and then had a meeting with Heather in the afternoon! She is so awesome! We talked about the restoration. She thought it was really neat! We only went over it briefly but I feel like if we would have gone more in depth the spirit would have been more powerful! But we love her! She is so solid and we know how much the gospel will bless her! We just hope she know is also!
Saturday we went to the flood cleanup in Fort Smith again! We started at a house and just cleaned out a little shed there was about 10 of us and not much to do so I helped the lady who lived there cleaned off some stuff. We talked while sitting there and I learned her daughter is a convert, being Baptist beforehand. She said she has seen such a good change in her daughter! She is more kind, thoughtful, and caring and seems happier! It was really neat to see her noticing the change in her daughter! As we were leaving to help somewhere else, she had told me how much she admired us being out serving the Lord! She was such a sweet lady! We helped clean out a house and rip out all the sheet rock!! It was so great! So we spent the rest of the day there! And it was so HOT!! I have never sweated so much in my life!! I wore a cool suit thing that made me look like either a ghostbuster or an astronaut 😄 but it was so fun even though I was sweaty! 😁
We had a linger longer after church yesterday so Sister Jack was able to meet a few more members! A little later we went to go see Abi but she wasn't home. We got to talk to her mom and sister though! It was good to visit with them! Before we left Abi's sister, Chrysten, told us to bring a scripture to discuss next time we stopped by! I was shocked a little bit! From what I have been told, she has always been the one who didn't seem too interested when they had discussions! I just thought that was so amazing!! I am excited to see them again!! :) we did some tracting, had dinner with members then went to the Vines for "Come, Follow Me"! It was a great Sunday!
In sacrament, one of the speakers talked about finding peace and how you'll find peace in Christ! I had D&C 19:23 run through my head most of sacrament. It says, "Learn of me, and listen to my words; walk in the meekness of my Spirit, and you shall have peace in me."
I know without a doubt that when we learn of and become more like Jesus Christ, we will find peace! But we won't just find peace, we will find happiness, love, and so much more! (Mind went blank...😬) I know that life is so much netter with the gospel! Our countenance does change and it is because of Jesus Christ! I am so grateful for this gospel! I am so grateful to be sharing it with others!
