Hello friends, family and family friends. It's been a long week and it flew by so let's go!
Monday- We had a district P-day! Which actually turned out to be more than half the zone. Everyone brought snacks and games! Sister Wallace and I played rummikub with Elder Winterton and it was a lot of fun. Us 3 also played nerts and so that was a blast. We also played chair soccer. (I couldn't hit Elder Barton's chair to save my life, I tried like 6 times!) And we played spike ball. It was a fun day.
Tuesday- We woke up and it was snowing!!! It put us in a Christmas mood... so we listened to Christmas music while we made breakfast burritos. I also may have been wearing a green dress and a red sweater. Later we went to the Henderson building to say Happy Birthday to Elder Klein with some cup cakes. We were making thank you notes for families who have fed us when Elder Stastny came in and was thrilled about the blizzard which was happening outside. The snow was falling in bigger snowflakes but the snow melted as soon as it touched the ground. But, snow was gathering on cars. Elder Weiss quickly ran to the car and was throwing snowballs at us by the door of the church. At one point, I wasn't watching for it and I was hit in the neck. (Didn't hurt) but he felt so bad๐ But we had a snowball fight after that and a mini snow man was built. It was so much fun. We taught the Wolfmeiers about temples and baptisms for the dead. The Sister in the ward who came with us used to work in the temple and coordinate for youth groups to visit and when we invited her, we didn't know that! So she was able to help answer questions as well and said she wanted to go with Sister Wolfmeier her first time so she will have that support.
Wednesday- So we found out about transfers today. The whole day, Sister Wallace was saying she thinks she was going to get transferred. We were having people sign transfer journals. During lunch we played Unstable Unicorns with the Ogs and during our dinner time, we played spike ball. As far as transfers, Sister Wallace and I are both staying! Elder Winterton and Klein were assigned to a different zone, Elder Stastny stayed over the YSA ward and Elder Weiss was moved within the zone. We found out all the goats were being transferred away too except Elder Briggs. So goodbyes were pretty sad but we got through them.
Thursday- We made scones and they were edible! We took some to a less active sister and it turned out that she loves scones. We were excited to see that she was a lot warmer with us after a couple of other visits and text her! We went to Barr lake and filled in more pot holes. Our district has been rearranged so the STLs are in our district now and Elder Briggs is companions with our District leader, Elder Borla.
Friday- HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDI!!!!!!!๐๐๐๐
We went to the Barr Lake Conservancy and helped pull weeds and level out some ground. We did invite Elders Weiss, Briggs and Hatch. (Their companions were at a District Leader meeting so they were with eachother for the day.) They were all so quite. We tried to get a conversation going but it was like pulling teeth. We are praying their companions are more talkative and we suspect it might be because we are Sisters? Anyway, we are in the process of figuring out names for groups of people so, I'll let you know when we decide. We did a lot of Facebook trying to find people to teach. It was a pretty mellow day.
Saturday- We went to Barr Lake and helped with the Raptor Run. We got to see some pretty cool birds and a bald eagle! We finished early so we went and helped Arland move poles, cement blocks and signs. We got to meet new Elders and it was funny how excited Elder Beal was to use a sledge hammer. After that, were scurttled to the next service where we helped stable flyers to paper bags for the upcoming food drive. Then we went to help Sister Mark's house and helped her pull weeds. By the end of the day, I was sunburned. But what was most irritating about that was I noticed before we went to Sister Mark's house, that I was a little pink and so I put on sunblock and we were in the shade the entire time we were helping her and I turned lobster red! I don't understand๐คฆโโ๏ธ
Sunday- Happy Birthday Crayola!!!!!๐๐๐๐๐We went to church and had a couple meetings. We love Sister Hunt and Brother Lee just so y'all know. We watched the face to face for the young adults. Sister Wallace was completely out of it and tired by 8:30pm and it was hilarious. She was walking into doors and walls, forgetting what she was saying in the middle of saying it and her vocabulary was reduced to that of a 3 year old.
