This week has been good! I feel like I sat through a ton of meetings, but that's okay because we were still able to work hard in our area and see some cool miracles! This week has definitely been a week where I feel like we saw a lot of evidence that we were where The Lord wanted us to be and that's always a really nice feeling. (:
This week we had another missionary leadership council that we had to attend and we received training from our Mission President and his wife. Whenever this happens, it means that we have to relay the training to all of the other missionaries in their individual district meetings. So Sister Searle and I had to attend a lot of meetings for the rest of the week so that we could give the mission president's wife's training. It was good though, and I always love relaying their training because they're always so inspired and always know what the missionaries need to hear. I love feeling the spirit so strongly like that!
We had exchanges this week with Sisters Dilworth and Neilsen! I love them so much and it's always fun to go on exchanges with other sisters and be able to answer their questions and council them on things they need. My STL's always made such a HUGE difference in my missionary work, so I strive to do that for others in any way that I can. I also always learn so much from the other sisters! They always amaze me with what hard workers they are!
Sister Searle and I saw a really amazing miracle this week...we had just gotten home from another meeting and we needed to do our weekly planning, but we decided to hold off for the day and go out working instead. We were trying to figure out what we were going to do, when all of the sudden, this woman's name who we had met a few weeks ago started coming to my head over and over again. Without even discussing it with Searle, I just started to drive in the direction of the apartments that she lives in. We pulled into the parking lot and I was ranting to Searle about some minuscule selfish problem that I was having, when I looked over and saw this man with his head in his hands sitting at a picnic table outside. At first I just glanced at him and then looked away, but when I looked over again it was like something just grabbed a hold of my heart and said "GO TALK TO HIM NOW." I stopped mid-sentence and jumped out of the car! I'm sure it shocked Searle but I love her because she just goes with all of my crazy and ran out after me. I called out to this man as I started walking up to him, he pulled his head out of his hands and just looked at us with wide eyes as we walked over to him...kind of like he was seeing a ghost or something. I held out my hand to shake his and he just grabbed it with both hands and tears started to stream down his face. After a few minutes passed he told us that he had just been praying for God to forgive him and then we walked up. I felt strongly to tell him how much his Father in Heaven loved him and that he truly was a son of God. He lives in Illinois, but we sent missionaries to him!
God really does send us to those that need us most!
