Wednesday was chilly. like 54 degrees chilly. As we stood outside for transfers i realized that Sis g and I have been through it all - 108 or 54 been there done that together. saying good bye to your trainer is like the worst thing in the world. the second worse thing is taking over an area- but it's also the greatest thing ever not gonna lie. Anyway my new comp is SISTER LEWIS and she's the greatest! Okay so we (the sisters) are getting a car (can i get a whoop whoop?) WHOOP WHOOP. So, Sister Lewis and I embark on our long 3-hour drive back to Texas. In separate cars. I have never sung so loud in my life lol.... Everything is going well, we get on the big roads and everything is fine till we have to pee. Try to find a bathroom, find a sketchyyyyy gas station, prayed for safety before we went in lol ... Can't get back on the right side if the highway so we have to drive 20 miles back (GOING THE WRONG DIRECTION) to the nearest exit and then turn around and get heading the right way. Sis L bike almost falls off her bike rack so we have to stop in the middle of an exit ramp to fix it. We finally make it home. Literally never thought we'd make it.
I am so pumped for this transfer. Sis L and i set some SICK goals. like 10 baptisms (or Bap dates) this transfer. at first, i was like WOAH that's crazy but our goals need to stretch our limits so that's what we're doing!! We had the coolest lesson ever with our investigator J'june. He's from the Caribbean! We found him my very very first time tracking and he's been so so solid ever since, he's had hesitations about baptism because he struggles to feel worthy of Gods love. He's also been praying about the book of mormon for months, and he's been waiting and waiting for an answer. Anyway the lesson went so well, we talked about feeling love and i shared a scripture in Romans (i got it from sis g) about LITERALLY NOTHING can remove us from the love of God. Sister Lewis shared an experience about how it took her a long time to RECOGNIZE she had an answer the whole time. He looked at us and said, "i think i've got my answer" LEMME TELL YOU FOLKS, SISTER MALONEY ALMOST FLEW THROUGH THE ROOF!! i was on cloud 14 (way past cloud 9) like holy cow. It really helped me see and understand that our mission president is inspired by God, bc the experiences we'd both had together plus the spirit helped J'june come to recognize his answer. HES GETTING BAPTIZED THIS WEDNESDAY!!!!
OKAY I AM SO FREAKING PUMPED FOR GENERAL CONFERENCE!!! like so excited. PLEASE PREPARE!! I HAVE A TESTIMONY OF PERSONAL REVELATION AND I KNOW GOD HAS SOOOOO MUCH TO SHARE THIS CONFERENCE
When they read the statistical report and talk about the number of temples and recent converts and missionaries....
I am 1 of those missionaries.
His work, is the greatest most important work EVER. more important than our careers, more important than extracurricular activities, more important than all the busy things that fill our lives. The rushing around and coming and going and constant "craziness". If we feel that our lives are just "too busy" to have a calling or study our scriptures or do family history work or attend the temple or go out with the missionaries. Then we need to reconsider our priorities. While education, being financially stable and raising a family are some of the most important things we could ever do in life, God's work SHOULD be right next to them on our priorities list. "Prepare to meet God" is an amazing talk about our divine RESPONSIBILITIES.
wow i have so much to say but so little time. i love this gospel more than anything in the whole world. my love for the gospel truly reflects my love for Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ. BUCKLE UP FOR CONFERENCE!! HIS TRUTH IS MARCHING ON AND IT'S NOT SLOWING DOWN FOR NOTHING!!!!
I love you all ! thanks for the mail and prayers!
