3rd Area

Hermana King

Buenas Dias

Hello Family!
It was so fun to hear from each of you about how your week went and I enjoyed the pictures very much (: This week went great and I know that I'm where the Lord needs me to be. I prayed to be able to reach my full potential as a missionary and I know that I will be able to this transfer for several different reasons. This week I enjoyed using my Spanish more and I know that I'm going to improve a lot. My companion came out with my trainer so she's been out for a little over a year. Yesterday at church I really enjoyed getting to know the members- the members in the D4 ward are so great and all so welcoming. This week for service we went to the Metro-Caring center and did compost.. we dumped out of date yogurt and massive jugs of mayo into the garbage’s and some of it got onto my face! Yuck! haha That was quite the experience. On Jueves we had our 1st district meeting and Elder Goodman is our district leader this transfer which I'm really happy for him. The CCM district is almost all back together minus HMN Tchan. The meeting was great and we talked about finding techniques and open communication with our comps. I thought the topics were very fitting for the transfer. For dinner that evening we ate with a member and we had chicaron... which is boiled pig skins. I didn't know what it was when I was eating it but I figured that it was something along those lines going with the taste. After about 10 bites I couldn't take it anymore so I started swallowing it whole in bigger pieces. Thank goodness for tortillas and frijoles those are lifesavers with our dinners! New experiences every day when your Spanish speaking. We did a lot of tracting this week which helped me brush up on my talking skills. This past Sunday evening we taught a part member family who is wonderful! The wife's name is Mirium and she's super golden. I love the people in this area and I'm excited to see so many blessings this transfer. On Saturday for Halloween we got a ride from a member to the church's trunker treat and it was pretty fun. I dressed up as an Angell and my comp dressed up as a king. How funny huh? (: Over all it was a great week and I've felt more peace than I ever have on my mission. My heart is so full of gratitude and I know that I'm the happiest I'll probably ever be in my life serving the Lord. What a privilege it is to serve a mission.
Con amor,
Hermana Angell
