Beautiful how are you today? I hope you received my letter and package this past week probably Saturday. Hope I purchased the right size garments and the right kind. When you get home we’ll buy you all new ones if needed. I was in Bath and Body and couldn’t help but buy you the candle you loved last year during this season. Yes it might be a little early but now you can burn it until Christmas. I also love the soap and bought one for myself so I had to get one for you too hehe. It’s the little things that make us smile and enjoy the holiday seasons. The blue skirt I bought at Goodwill and thought it was cute but not sure it will fit you. Give it to another sister if it doesn’t.
Did you get yourself another coat? Hang on to your heavy black coat then wait until the really cold season is over because you might need it. After the season you can just donate it to a member or another missionary instead of sending it home if you don’t think you’ll wear it at home.
I hope you’re doing well. I have been thinking about you this week and wondering if you’re doing well with Hermana King? I loved all the photos from last week! Your Halloween costumes are really cute and you so darling in your pink birthday sweater! Glad you like your new ward too.
The phrase that I love more than any you have written me or the family from all your letters was from last week when you said that you are probably the happiest you’ll ever be in your life serving the Lord. I have to agree! A mission is so wonderful and I’m glad you have discovered true joy!! You will experience that same joy when you go through out your life in marriage, children, raising children and grandchildren. I know it probably seems like a long ways away and that’s okay for now. You enjoy the moment and keep loving this time of your life! No looking too far forward for now and no looking back but only to help you keep moving and improving forward.
I heard a scripture today and it made me tear up because it was just what I needed and thought of you too. It is in Ephesians 6:5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; 6: Not with eye service, as men pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; 7: With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men. When you get back to your apartment tonight finish reading Ephesians 6 it is only 24 verses long but is really packed with how to put on the whole armour of God. My favorite part is VERSE 17: And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. The sword of the spirit is the (WORD OF GOD) The scriptures! We have our own defense and weapon to beat Satin with just the scriptures, but we have to be reading and living them! I felt peace reading this and I just love it!
Have a wonderful week! Hold your sword high enough that all may see and seek you out so that they might have His word too!
I love you to the moon and back my girl!
