Well transfers came and went and I have changed areas to a place called Khovd. Khovd is a 25 hour bus ride or a 2 and a half hour plane ride from Ulaanbaatar. Its not to close to the city so i'd like to call this a hop skip and a jump away.:) also we were lucky and got to take the plane on the way here!
Also i am with Sister Vanderwalker which we were together before in Erdenet so it has been the reuniting of best friends from before! I don't know how I get so lucky.
It was so sad to leave Nalaikh and say goodbye to so many people I love. As we went to the zah one day to say goodbye to afew members and friends that work there, they were so sweet and were sad that their "violin sister" was leaving.
Also to my friend that we always talk to at the zah, we were able to give her a Book of Mormon with our testimony written inside. I was inspired by Elder rasbands talk to give a book of mormon to everyone even "the produce man at your market". So with my native companion we were able to do so!
Khovd is SO beautiful! It has Mountains and it is more like a desert. We teach alot of english here including at the polytechnic college.
This past sunday was Stake conference so it wasn't a normal sunday. We attempted to watch it online together but we had some technical difficulties. But it was so wonderful to meet some members and investigators! Also to the priesthood session on saturday there were 7 brethren that showed up to watch the stake session together which was SO wonderful!
I have met some amazing people here in Khovd already and can't wait to tell you more about the people we get to meet and teach!
Alright so not going to lie but it can be a bit stressful to have two American sisters in the middle of Mongolia trying their best to carry on the most important work with their Mongolian in progress and many weaknesses. But I truly can testify that the Lord provides a way to his children to be able to accomplish the thing which he commands them! He helped us when we did it in Erdenet and I have seen him doing it again! The lord is unchanging. He is the same Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow. He loves his children and he is helping us each day as we seek his help!
I love the Lord. His love is so powerful and motivating!
Have a fantastic week!
