Sister Lexi Kilgore

Better than Disneyland

I am having the time of my life here in Mexico at the CCM. I promise they knew I was coming because there is unlimited watermelon and lime juice 24/7! I love it so much. I have made so many new friends who keep me laughing through all my classes.
I have never felt so much peace and happiness before other than inside the temple. I am learning so much every day. It blows my mind how far my Spanish has come. There is no way I have been able to have conversations or memorize scriptures on my own. I know that Christ will help us and bless us if we are obedient and have faith in Him.

I have the best companera en the world- Hermana Kilgore. (Shout out to Elder Petersen for calling it!) Everyone is so surprised when we say we were friends at BYU, both going to the same mission y companions en la CCM. She is like my second half - love her!

This week we taught Fernando about prayer and repentance and we challenged him to study the Book de Enos. I love verse 8 when Enos was praying to God and asked how his sins were forgiven. " And he said unto me: Because of thy faith in Christ, whom thou hast never before heard nor seen... wherefore, go to, thy faith hath made thee whole."

We also contacted Javier and he told us he felt like something was missing in his life. I was so excited because I told him we want to share a message of happiness with him which is the gospel of Jesus Christ! He wants to hear more so we will meet with him next week.

Spanish is still muy dificil perro esta bien! Some Latino missionaries told me their favorite ice cream es helado de pollo? I'm not sure if they are pranking me but I told them to bring me some so I'll let you know how that goes Haha.

I am so grateful to be a missionary especially at la CCM!
