This week we had a baptism. Her name is Sandy Nelson and she is awesome I don't know what I have told you about her but her baptism was so sweet and she is getting confirmed next week. She told someone of our members that she felt like a weight has been lifted. At the baptism we had a missionary give the talk on the Holy Ghost and I realized why it was so easy to teach Sandy. She has the gift of Faith. She just understood, it was awesome. We also did a musical number and it was amazing I loved it so much and Sandy loved it too. It was Baptism and hymn 236 (which we didn't know existed) medley it was beautiful. I had a solo!
We had a couple of weird things happen. 1. We had a lady drive by us while we were knocking and try and save us. She said "I think that if you put the Book of Mormon down and open up the bible you might learn some truth. You just need to accept it there are no works involved." What was so funny about this was that we had a recent convert with us and we had all literally looked at the New Testament that morning. It was just funny. 2. While we were visiting someone we saw that they had bugs flying around in their house and, on closer examination, they were lady bugs like 30 of them in one little area in her house. Oh and we saw a spider kill one. It was so cool.
We have a less active that we visit her name is Beth she is great. She has ADHD though so she talks and tells stories for a whole hour and the only way you can get a word in is if you interrupt her. Well she has been scamming a lady scammer and she thinks it is hilarious. She is a card but what was so cool was she actually found something in the scriptures that she wanted to tell us about and she has never done that before. Sister May said that this is the most she has ever gone to church since she has been here which is awesome.
We had exchanges this week. it was nice to see a different approach. Some funny things that were said "Pee, Pee, I like to see cows pee it is like a waterfall"- my companion Sister May. "We all have issues if we didn't have issues we wouldn't be missionaries."-me "Your right we'd be married" -Sister May
