21st B-Day, Festival of Finding & Quick Interview w/Elder Whiting

Hello, Everyone!
This week was a little crazy. On Monday we ended up playing pickle ball with the Elders, after emailing, and had a great night working with a lot of part member families! We love them!

Tuesday was awesome as well! We had Elder Whiting, from the Quorumn of the Seventy, come to our mission! Haha... He first began by telling us to connect the dots. We had just had the prophet come and speak to us, along with so many changes in the mission, and now him, instructed by the Quorum of the Twelve. He said that he expected change after that day and that we better make changes to be better because this area has been marked. Yikes. We talked a lot about obedience and the Book of Mormon and the power of it. It was really cool! Oh! I almost forgot! A few missionaries were picked by our mission president to talk to him afterwards and I was one of them. :) Elder Whiting asked me about myself and my family and we talked for a minute or two. He then asked me to stop and say hello if we ever run into each other again. He was really nice!

Afterwards, we had dinner with an investigator, and her husband, who we've been trying to meet with for forever. We basically bared our hearts to them and taught them the restoration. They let us know they had a really heartfelt conversation after we left. We're supposed to meet up with them again this week! We'll see how it goes! They're awesome and have both read the Book of Mormon before.

We had our Festival of Finding on my birthday on Saturday! It was great! We started with exchanging with the Sisters near us and they were really sweet about my birthday! Sister Scott and I were companions during her birthday, months ago, and we were together again for mine. We had to drive for a bit to also go on splits with the Hermanas in Kirkland and we went finding at Juanita Beach. It was so beautiful outside! After, our zone met back at the church and the Elders surprised me with decorations and cupcakes. They of course all sang to me and made me blow out a candle as well! It was really sweet. :) We even ended up finding three new investigators that week! Yay!!

Sunday was something else. Carnation Ward didn't change but we didn't know half of the members in the new Cherry Creek Ward. They had a really sweet sacrament meeting, even amidst all of the change. We have some great new members that we're excited to get to know better and we love our new bishop! He gave a really sweet testimony.

Alright, thank you so much for the birthday wishes!!!!!

Love you lots and lots!
Ky
