What a great day to is to be alive and be a missionary in the Philippines! We had a great week. As I said before my new comp, Sister Jones, is adorable and turns out we have some connections from back home. Small world. Our area hasn't been progressing for a long while now (since before I came here), but we are determined to get it moving.
We had an awesome week. Heavenly Father really answers prayers, we may have to wait for a long while, but he ALWAYS answers. This week we had a lot of tender miracles. This older man, Danilo, that we have been teaching for a few weeks finally came to church. Last week we almost decided to stop teaching him, but I felt like lets give him one more try. After church he said he is never going to a different church again. He also said he wants to change, and then at our follow up lesson asked how he can be a member of our church. We were like, actually no you can't... jokes, we were all over it of course and he has a set baptism date now. He reads the Book of Mormon, even though he can't really read because he has no education. He is legit people.
I just want to bare testimony of the Restoration. That is what is so special and different about our message. Every time we teach the Restoration I just get chills because it is so real! I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith, and when people receive this testimony it changes their lives. You should all read Joseph Smith History and during the first vision part put yourself in Joseph Smith's shoes.
Thanks for the love and prayers! Love and miss you all!
Peace be the journey,
Sister Ludvigson
Oh boy... So we were walking to a members home and it was starting to get a little dark and this man with a trash bag walked up to me and stuck his hand out, and my first thought was "oh what a nice man picking up garbage" so I gave him my plastic cup of garbage I had in my hand. haha. But, then he started to speak and ask for money so I just said "oh, wala quorta pasaylo" (no money, sorry) and walked away.
We also were tracting and there was this big house (or what we thought was a house) with a gate and there was a doorbell thing so we were like, might as well try. We rang the doorbell and then an intercom thing came on and there were dogs barking and alarms going off. So we just left. Because we were a little freaked out and there were no people.
