Light the World My People!

1Kamusta my people,

I've hit my one month mark in the field and I still feel like a brand new dumb American sister missionary. Haha. I've lost count by how many people have told me, 'guapa kaayo, apan taas nose' (very pretty but long nose) yes, I know, I have a big nose even for american standards, thanks to the Ludvigson genes. I'm pretty sure I have ate my weight in rice. The members love to feed us and just load it up and say "sister you eat more." That is just a taste of how amazing the people are.

We've been doing the light the world and it has been a blast. I have learned over the last month that missions are not just teaching and finding people. But it is serving, and inviting EVERYONE members, less active, random people, children to come unto Christ. Please do the Light the World and send some emails and pictures of your service. Ahhhhh! I just love Christmas!!!
Matt 5:14-16
"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick:and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Let your light so shine b before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

It's a great day to be a missionary in the Philippines!

Much love,

Sister Ludvigson

p.s. thanks for all the prayers and emails!

Funny story. So our main mode of transportation is called tricycles. They are tiny metal carriage things hooked up to a motorcycle. Anyways. you way "lugar lang" and they just pull over the side of the rode and you get out. Well my comp. got out and I was half way out with my head sticking out and my but in a random persons face and the driver started driving away. And my comp. and everyone started freaking out. It was hilarious. The driver felt so bad, especially since I'm American. haha.

1- Family pictures. Half our zone goes home this next transfer :(
2-shout out to my elementary P.E. teacher Mr. Durbin for teaching me the Chinese jump rope thing
3- Nay and Tay Condiman. (Nay and tay is what they call old people here) they make the best rice cakes and are so cute and always tell us they love us and I pray everyday that they will let us teach them! Cute kaayo!
