This week has been full of miracles!!! Every week is (: God is so good and i'm just feeling so happy!! How has your week been? Let me know!!!! (; also i hit my 8 months mark today (April 19) so that's exciting!
-There is so much potential in all of our areas and it has been incredible to see how the gospel can change people's lives and hearts. We have been meeting some awesome new friends lately! We met someone named Alyssa over Facebook. It went really well but her dog was really crazy and but Sister Motely but she didn't tell me until we got back in the car. It wasn't a bad bite but it did break the skin and bleed so we told Sister Keung (The mission presidents wife) and she started freaking out and wanted all this info and it was a gong show! Long story short she is now on antibiotics to help avoid infection.
- Taylor is now going to be baptized on May 15th and wow i am just so very excited for her!! She is an angel and such a good example to me. She is 16 and has been wanting to get baptized ever since we began teaching her in March!
- We had really really special lessons with 3 different ladies (Valerie Myrian and Sister Cutler) this week where the spirit was just so strong we were all brought to tears. I have such a strong testimony that our hardships and trials truly are for our good and help us grow to become better and help us become who Christ wants us to become. And when we have our foundation on Him we can rest assured that we will be able to make it through! I love this classic scripture in Helaman 5:12 "And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."
- We both gave talks in the Coutts Ward (just over an hour away, right at the US border) on Sunday. We had some of our friends there, one actually came all the way from Lethbridge for it. They really enjoyed it so we're super happy about that. Also lots of my family and extended family watched it and so that was cool too! I had no idea that they were going to (: On our way home there ended up being a crazy snow storm!
-We borrowed a member's dog to go on a walk with us so more people would talk to us while we walked around Henderson lake. It actually worked and we met a few really great people. The dog's name is Winter. So we loved being in a trio with Winter for the day!! (;
This week, try to do your best to be kind to someone and treat them with love! Allow yourself to become a witness of Christ and receive His image in your countenance. Become an extension of His pure love!!!
