This week has been the craziest/longest week of my entire life. Sister Walker found out that she was going home due to some medical concerns on Monday and that took a toll on all of us... It was a pretty rough ending that day, and we were really sad about it. She was supposed to go home with me and then they told her she was going home this Friday. And then on Tuesday... we got the call at noon that she was leaving at 5pm. So we packed up all her stuff and took her to the airport. Let's just say that it was a rough start to the week. I seriously cannot believe that she has only been gone for like 6 days because it feels like an eternity. But Sister Tullis and I got through it and I am seriously so grateful for her! She is amazing and we have grown so much closer this last week.
The sad part is that after all of that work and bonding... SHE IS GETTING TRANSFERRED! I am so bummed about it. But here is the actual crazy thing. I am DOUBLE TRAINING this transfer...Training a new STL (SISTER GALVEZ IS COMING HERE FROM BISMARCK) and also training a new missionary! Haha this transfer is going to be a PARTYYYYY!! We are going to work so hard and there are going to be so many things that happen.
So anyways, we got a lot of referrals this week so we have been trying them and one of them was in this trailer park. So we went there and knocked on the door, but turns out that she didn't actually live there. But we talked to the guy at the door for a minute and as we were walking back to our car we saw this other man walking the same direction toward our car... So I picked up the pace a little bit and then he turned and said, "Uhhhh... is that your car?" and we quickly replied and then he turned and booked it the other direction after saying, "Oh... sorry!" So we almost got our car stolen this week too! Too bad that we have TIWI and can just track it though... so it wouldn't really do much if he tried to take it.
I am loving the new Come, Follow Me program this year! In my studies I really liked these scriptures from Luke 2.
15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
16 And they came with haste and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
So after the angel came and gave revelation to the shepherds they ACTED on what they learned and decided to seek personal revelation for themselves. and, they did it with HASTE. We get so much revelation and direction from our leaders and from our prophets and apostles, then it is our job to ACT with HASTE and seek for a confirmation for ourselves. I am grateful for the knowledge of a God who really does give us revelation and helps us to know His plan as long as we ask and are patient on His timing.
