Subject: The Lord's Vineyard
BIG NEWS!! I am being transferred! I was super surprised to find out that Sister Ferrell will be staying and I will be leaving! I will be going up to Fresno in the Dakota and Red bank wards and my new companion will be Sister Hicks! The cool thing
is, is that Sister Jensen is being transferred as well and I will be living with her and her new companion! So crazy! It has been so amazing to serve here in Clovis and my time here was very short, but the Lord has other plans for me now. I am excited for
this new adventure!
I also had the amazing opportunity of serving in the vineyard this week! Each year wards in the central valley get together and get to work in the church vineyard to harvest grapes! It is all on a volunteer basis, it is super cool! Me and Sister Ferrell
got to work with the Orchard View ward on their rows. Orchard View ward had 5 rows for them to do and one row is so long! I couldn't believe how long it took to get through one row! A lot of people informed us that this year was a big harvest as well.
Some people had knives and cut the grapes down and other people laid the grapes down on paper for them to dry out. It is an extremely dirty job! We were covered in dirt! I am so excited that I get to experience the vineyard again next year!
Spiritual thought! My favorite scripture at the moment is 2 Nephi 22:2 "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation." This scripture is so powerful and
is carrying me through this week. I have so many mixed feelings about being transferred it is unreal! But I know that it is in God's hands and I need to trust Him. Through him we can do all things! I am sad I am leaving Clovis and definitely thought I
would be here longer but I know I am going where God needs me to be, and I am very excited for the work to continue to progress in Clovis and now in my new area! I love you all! Have an amazing week!
