Ya'at'ééh shi kei dóó shi dinee!
Monday: It was a really good pday. I found out that everything is hecking expensive in monticello, so I refrained from buying a lot of food. Then we had a 3 hour dinner with the Von Haden family. They are super cute investigators and we love them a lot.
Tuesday: Today was technically my 6th month mark! Now, I know what you're thinking. "Sister Lowder you've only been put since like june." That is correct. But technically my mission started in March, so now its 6 months over! To celebrate the elders made us fry bread
Wednesday: ROADTRIP!!!Sister Hibbert and I had a great day. We did a lot of service. First we helped at the food bank and distributed a lot of food. Then we took apart a shelf for Janet. Janet is a really sweet old lady who needs a lot of help with random things. We took apart the shelf and Sister Hibbert dropped it on my head, but it's all good. It's a good running joke we have. Then we went to the young women's activity and made s'mores. It was so fun! After the activity we started our first night of the ROADTRIP! We had a zone conference in Kirtland, NM the next morning. So we drove out and stayed the night with my old companions! It was so fun to catch up with them and talk about how everything is going
Thursday: ZONE CONFERENCE + ROADTRIP!!!The Zone conference was so fun! I got to visit with some of the relief society presidency from Kirtland! That includes Starla!!! I love her, and I was so excited to see her. After the zone conference we drove all the way down to Holbrook Arizona. It was a long drive filled with good tunes, deep convos, and junk food. So it was really fun.
Friday: TEMPLE + ROADTRIP!!!I WENT INSIDE THE TEMPLE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FOREVER!President let me go through with Sister Naeta because her parents couldn't come. So we all got to go through and it was so fun! I was able to meet my comps parents! They are so cute! It was kind of scary though, for some reason I was nervous and it felt like I was meeting the "in laws" or something. I didn't know what to say and I was just trying to make a good impression, but I was too nervous and scared they wouldn't like me. So that was pretty funny. After the temple we drove all the way back to Utah, but we managed to hit every state in our mission. That was pretty sweet.
Saturday: ahhhhh I'm so tired from our endless roadtrip. I drove for a long time, but it was good. Good old Gerrti (the name of our old man car) got us home safely and that's all that matters. Tiwi only gave me 20 "check your speeds" so I think I'm the best driver ever. We did lots of service and then I took a fat nap. That's all I remember for the day.
Sunday: another crazy and hectic day! We had a really good lesson with Ethan! It was our last lesson before his Baptism on Sunday!!!! Yay! Woot woot!
Monday: Normally I wouldn't write about today, but it was the most amazing day ever!!!!!!!!We have been teaching this lady for what feels like FOREVER. but she told us today that she wants TO GET BAPTIZED!!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!It was a great week and I am so happy to be here in monticello! :)
