The Sun'll Come Out Tomorrow

Hello Everybody!

The Sun
First off, the sun has been out almost every day this week and it is finally reaching the 50's!!! It is so great to not have to wear tights every day. I definitely appreciate the sun and its warmth a lot more now than I did when it was out almost every day no matter what season.

The Temple
I got to go to the temple this week with other missionaries in my area and as always it is a great experience. The Spirit is much stronger there than anywhere else. If you have a temple nearby and can go just walk around the grounds or go inside, definitely do that especially as spring is coming and they always have beautiful flowers around the temple grounds.

Exchanges
I got to go over to Moscow and be with Sister Knudsen. As soon as we were leaving Pullman to drive to Moscow, the lessons that were planned, got cancelled one by one until we only had one later that night. It was really fun though because with our extra time that we now had, we got to go try and visit some people that missionaries had met before. None of them were home or lived there anymore, but we saw some people smoking on their back porch/backyard thing and so we went to go talk to them. They told us that they both went to church and so we talked to them a little bit about what makes our church different and we gave them a card that has a link to the free Book of Mormon app. We also gave them a pamphlet that talks about the church that Christ set up has been restored on the Earth. They had a cute dog too which is always a plus.

Quinceañera
On Saturday we got to help set up for a quinceañera and that was really fun. It reminded me a lot of what I did in Leadership, with setting up all of the dances and planing decorations and things. It looked really nice once all of the decorations were up and the lady that we were helping said that she wanted to learn more about our church and so that was really exciting for us.

Thrift Store
We also got to help out at a thrift store this week which was awesome. I love thrift stores and this one has free things in the hallway outside because they clean things out when they can't sell them and so then they're just free! It's great for us because we usually only go shopping on Mondays and this thrift store isn't open then. I got a free rug that has Donald Duck on it and it's probably one of my greatest finds. One of the ladies that works there was telling us that she has a daughter that's Mormon and so she knows a little bit about our church and was very excited that we were able to come help.

Jess
We got to have a lesson with Jess this week and she is so sweet. She just walked into church last Sunday and we were able to teach her more about it this week and answer some of her questions! She talked a lot about how good she feels at our church and how she's been looking for truth. We were able to share the Book of Mormon with her and she was so excited to read it. We also sent her videos yesterday of what people learned at church because she is gone for spring break, and she was so happy about them. I love getting to see people's desire to follow Christ grow as they learn more about what He taught and His example that He set for all of us.

Quotes
"I've always been out of the loop. I've never actually been in the loop. The loop just always evades me." -Elder St. John

"There was no time for pleasantries." -Sister Packer

"I guarantee I'd think that was funny even if I was full of sleep."-Sister Packer

Pictures
Sister Packer, Rena, and Me! We get to do a scripture discussion with Rena almost every week and this may have been my last one because I may be moving somewhere else this week.
We stopped to use the bathroom in one of the smallest towns I've ever seen. Also we thought the Restaurant sign was really funny because all it says is Restaurant.

I love you all!!!
Love, Sister Karlee Killen
