This was a pretty good week! As you all know Conference was this past week! And it was AMAZING!! Oh, I loved every speaker. You all want to know what's funny? When I was younger (like elementary/middle school) I felt like General Conference was too long. But now, I feel like it's not long enough. It went by so quickly, I was kinda sad about it. I couldn't believe it was almost over when Sunday hit.
So many amazing things were said in Conference! I just love it all! If any of you were not able to watch it, you can watch it again since its recorded or you can wait to read it when it is typed out. I can't wait to read it!
What things from Conference stood out to you?? I'd love to hear some of your thoughts! 😁
Anyways, we were able to pick up 3 people this week. A family. We were going through area and stopping by these people who we have no idea either what their name is or there isn't much information about them. So we stopped by this one person's home, someone answered, turned out to be the mom's adult son, we got talking and we got invited in. That's where we met more of the family. It was a good experience! Then we met with them on Sunday again, and we will be meeting again with them soon.
We were able to pick someone else up, by using area book. We were leaving the house when someone pulled up into the drive way. We started talking and we are meeting him this Friday so that is exciting!
Sister Clark is an amazing missionary! I've learned so much from her. I know I've still got things to work on, but I know that as I continue to rely on Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father, trust my companion and give it my all, I will have nothing to fear.
I love my mission. So many things have happened since I've been out 10 months now! Some ups, downs, horizontal lines, and I wouldn't take any of it back. Everything I've gone through is what has made me well me. And I am continuing to learn and grow. I heard this quote from someone back in Fort Macleod and I just love it and I think it applies!
"When Heavenly Father gives us a Trial, it means we ready to grow." - Dan
When I am given a trial, I feel like it's too much for me. But what I do know is that it isn't too much for me when I focus and rely on Jesus Christ. I love my Savior and I know that he is there waiting for us to let him help us and to give us Strength. I've gotten to see so many blessings and the love I have for those who I am serving with, around, and those who are back at home, has grown so much. It's amazing! If you focus your life on Jesus Christ, you will see so many blessings that comes from it. Peace, Comfort, Love, Hope, and more. I say this, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
