Sometimes Life is just Hard
Hey all! How are you doing? Please let me know if there's anything I can do for y'all! I'll be praying for you.
Well I'll start out with some amazing things that happened! This week during my language study a word came up that I couldn't remember. Instead of looking in my thick language books or using the blessed SpanishDict website, I decided to pray to help me remember this word. and then as I started to type it came to my head, right when I needed it. El Don de Lenguas is real!! I have had many experiences where when I need to say something the words I've learned will come to my head and I will be able to say something sort of coherent (at least it makes some sense to me lol).
We watched an amazing devotional last night! Elder and Sister Alliaud spoke, and it was amazing! "We are children of God" this truth is the number one thing that Satan is trying to attack. Temptations from the devil try to distract us from this truth. YOU ALL HAVE DIVINE POTENTIAL! We are all capable of so much more, when we let God work through us. Always remember you are an amazing son or daughter of God.
Okay this next part ima probably gonna cry a little but hey I'm doing alright. Last night after the devotional, one of the Hermanas in our district told us that she was about to go get released right then, and she was late for her meeting with her Stake President. She has had really bad anxiety, and hasn't been able to come to class each day. I couldn't keep in the tears, after three weeks we've all grown so close as a district, they are some of my best friends. Especially this sister.
My companion and I had been partnering up with this sister's other companion, and she had been feeling us in on what was happening. We had prayed and prayed that her anxiety would be lessened. But to no avail. God must have a different plan for her at this time, but I do know that she was an amazing missionary, to me and all others in our district. Her testimony was fire, and strengthened mine! I am going to miss her LIKE A LOT, but I know that although we don't see why things happen the way they do, God sees the big picture. Elder Jeffrey R. Holland said, "Faith means trusting God in the good times and bad, even if that includes some suffering until we see His arm revealed in our behalf." If there's one thing I've learned, it is that we must trust God. Trust in His Son to comfort you. Trust in His plan. Trust in Him in every aspect of life. He can change us for the better, but sometimes that refiner's fire is reeeaaaally hot.
I am so grateful for this gospel, and for the comfort, and peace it brings. Thank you all for your support, and PLEASE let me know if there's ever anything I can do for you!-Hermana Blotter
