WELL what a week!!!
Another week full of finding because #corona!! Gotta love it!! We also found out that all the senior couples and any missionaries with past health issues had to go home as a precaution..LITERALLY THE WORST NEWS EVER. Basically I feel like our mission changed within the span of 2 days, it's been a little crazy. Don't you worry though, the work still goes on (even though Sister Webber and I are sick and I'm convinced we have corona)! We are focusing a little bit more on working with members and teaching them the beautiful Restoration, which I am so excited about! We've also started reaching out to our friends that we are teaching through more technological ways, which has actually been really effective. If missionary work has ever been needed, NOW is the time. So be a missionary to those around you and give them a little peace and comfort that they need in this craziness!
We met with Frau Gnebner again this week and can I just say it was one of the best lessons I've had!! We talked about how we have a relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ through the Holy Ghost. Without the Holy Ghost, we couldn't have a relationship with Them! We also talked about how the church was restored through Joseph Smith and how we still have a living prophet on the earth today, President Russell M Nelson. The spirit was really strong and Frau Gnebner opened up a lot. #blessings We also had a break through when we were done with the lesson, she ran to her kitchen and came back carrying two jars of jam for us. Sister Webber and I looked at each other smiling because in that moment we knew we were in. Also Frau Gnebner has a mannequin in her living room (don't you want to meet this wonderful woman?), so I decided to ask about it. Well the mannequin's name is Lilly. For some reason I felt the need to give Lilly a high five and then to proceed to pat her on the shoulder. Why you might ask? I don't know. I think it was a prompting from the Holy Ghost though because Frau Gnebner laughed and now we are besties!!
Something that has been shown to me in this time of chaos and fear is that God is so aware of us. He is aware of our circumstances and what is going on. He knows, He knows, He knows! The world can be crazy, uncertain and out of toilet paper, but God will not leave us alone. We can find peace in Christ wherever we are. A quote that my dad sent me said, "Happiness doesn't depend on what you are facing, but where you are facing." Are we facing the loud world or are we facing the loving, comforting arms of our Savior? We have the most precious knowledge so we don't have any reason to worry! I know that it is through Jesus Christ that we can feel a deep inner peace in a world that is chaotic. I know that we are being watched over by a loving Heavenly Father who will not leave us comfortless.
Okay don't get corona, love y'all!
