Hello! I hope that you all had a great Christmas! Isn't it just the best time of year?! I think so. This week was full of lots of high and lows, but I found out that the highs always come out of the lows. So I thought I would share a few:)
Low: I wasn't with my family on Christmas, which felt super weird!
High: I got to spend Christmas Eve with the Fernandez Familie and get to know them better! I spent Christmas Day with the Silva Familie, who we absolutely LOVE. I was able to help other people feel the Spirit and focus on Jesus Christ!
Low: Almost everyday we come home soo tired!! Especially on Thursday when we had zone conference and a few appointments
High: We know that we are trying our best and doing as much as we can! We get to feel good about the effort we put in that day. Plus I got to see my fav Sister Milham:)
Low: On our way to the Gomez's, our Straßenbahn smelt so BAD. Like #2 bad if you know what I'm sayin.
High: Sister Torgerson and I could not stop laughing about how ridiculous the smell was. We really needed a laugh and a pick-me-up! Who knew it could come from a gross Straßenbahn, amirite?
Low: We worked really hard to get things ready and Bami wasn't baptized on Saturday.
High: Through all the frustration and sadness we were able to have clarity of God's nature. Even though God wants His children to listen/follow Him, He will never override our agency. He loves us that much!! Our perspective changed and we felt more motivated to love and support Bami in whatever he needs. We will keep working with him:)
Sometimes in the moment it is so hard to see what good could come from any bad, but I know that we need the bad for the good! I know that God will let bad things happen because we can learn and grow from it. We can feel joy even fuller! I know that God is so long-suffering with us. How amazing is it that Jesus Christ let's us keep trying again and again through His Atonement? His grace is sufficient! I know that we have a loving Savior who trusts us and loves us so much that we can make our own decisions. So this week, choose Him! Choose to serve His children, choose to read the words of His prophets and choose to love Him!
